i guess same old team be on this trip to shanghai again.... but lets pray they do have a better ranking than last years.... and better still get some medal back...
well thais are great and japs too... i guess they score more due to their air tricks... you really can expect them doing something more than grinds and combo grinds.... msian...well sorry to say but i don really see people having variation on tricks... the most are combo grinds... its only my poor own opinion anyway....
sorry if this really get anyone on nerves....really sorry...

thats just plain narrow minded.
im guessing you havent seen fariq on a flybox, lui on a coping or meme on anything concrete.
those guys whoops nuts. not saying they'll beat Note, but they are pretty fucking good. ... and not just good in a "good enough for malaysia jaguh kampung" kinda way. but actually hands-down-makes-you-wanna-go-skate good.
the only thing thing setting them apart from note, soichiro and jerasak is - international experience, sponsorship and exposure. they may or may not become world class, but lets give credit where credit is due, they're making the effort and you can be sure the next generation will pick up from where they left off. Ive seen enough new kids improving day in day out at the shah alam park to know that we're in good hands.
so don't tar and feather they the entire rolling community based on what you saw in the "Asian X Games on ESPN" or at your local skatespot.
Lets not forget fariq beat a whole slew of Asian skaters, getting silver at the recent Asian Indoor Games. yea - - i know its "just" for the high air. but thats still pretty fucking awesome if you ask me.
irrespective of who goes...our scene is way to small to bicker and fight. chances are .. the "right" guys will be sent anyway. lets wish them luck and... most importantly...hope they have fun.

anyway. most probably already know this. but Nik and Lui will be repping msia at the Asian X Games, Fariq will be the "coach" / tayar spare. they are currently undergoing training at the Mont Kiara skatepark.
speaking of the park, there's a sorta comp/jam session/ demo at kiara to welcome the new Youth and Sports ministry.
ass kissing event = got money event to select national representatives = yalek
but anyhoo...nik and lui woulda probably taken the top 2 spots anyway. so no point grumbling. rumour has it the new minister is a whole lot more open to action sports compared to his predecessor.

I don't think anyone is grumbling or even upset but because these involves the use of public funds and when one uses public funds such as grants from the government one has to be open and fair. Take for example Singapore, although it does not receive much fundings from its government they are still able to do a proper circuit and select their representatives in an open and fair manner through sponsorships. Singapore's circuit and their reps www.xtremeadventure.com.sg/xscircuit.phpwww.xtremeadventure.com.sg/xsevent.php

saw it few days ago and yet the profle an't complete. Look at skateboard; they only have Pa'Din. The event starts tomorrow? Nope but tt's normal they have the schedule early. I remembered AXG KLCC. Same thing. They have schedule on Thursday but all of the event only practise session not prelims or finals.
