hello guys, just bumped to this site as i was searching some info about inline skates in malaysia, KV in particular. anyway, i've been looking high-and-low for a pair of "better-than-avergae" skates all over KV! but so far ive only seen a sports shop in Mid Valley selling the "Scorpion" brand. i've never heard of Scorpion before.. so was just hoping that there are other more specialized shops around KL/PJ area. i hope someone can point me to a decent shop... the nearer to PJ, the better! thanks in advance! p/s - sorry if this question had been asked before. hope yu guys dont mind.

hey, thanks for the quick reply!.. talk about an active forum anyway, im staying in Kelana Jaya.. (is that wat the KJ in the KJrollers mean?) ok, so ive been scouting around for a pair of skates. entry-level tho, and have read the Cool Elements price list. whoah! talk about expensive...! i've since risen my budget to about RM300-400.. i hope that can get me a decent pair of skates. besides Cool Elements, are there ANY other places that sell them? maybe not those specialized ones.. but "sport-shop" type which stock better branded skates. i used to see them all over about 5 years back.. brands like ultra wheels, rollerblades, etc.. again, thanks a bunch! oh yeah, i've also noticed that the skates frm USD have really small wheels. are these types of skates meant for skate parks and not for recreational skating-through the neighbourhood? actually, im into skating for recreational purposes.. at least for the now

hello fellow kelana jayan....yes - thats what KJ stands for.
the reason this board is so 'active' is because its members have no life.
anyway - to answer your question. yes - USDs are what they call aggressive skates (hate that term) and more suitable for grinding and airs - rather than roll around recreational skating.
if you are into recreational skating - i suggest a good pair of salomons (try various adidas shops - -they might still have em) or go to eXtreme shops, normally i wouldnt recommend that shop for ANYTHING, but they do have pretty decent Nike recreational skates - dont really know how much though. try the branch One Utama.
hope that helps.

are agressive inline skates suitable for recreational skating? i mean.. i intend to start of rounding the neighbourhood first before trying anything more "x-treme" ;D
