Hi Peeps,
my name is Bruce, im 26 years old. I skated for like 4 years back when i was in high school. then i stopped. I stumbled upon an article in Juice magazine about this guy, Chee Su Keat who is 26 but still skating. that kinda got my adrenalin pumping back again when I used toi grind the curbs of Subang Jaya and fly off the staircase of Tai Pan. Can anyone here tell me where i can buy a new pair of skates? i still have my Majestic 12 from roces but they are a bit koyak so i thought i get myself a new pair. Any aggressive skate shops in town? Please advice....
Bruce

hey man - glad that article got you wanting to skate again. anyway.
best places to get skates would be Cool Element skateshop in Bukit Bintang Plaza (www.ce-skateshop.com)
or Skateline in Taman Tun (www.skateline.com.my)
Cool element has really good aggressive skates for really good prices (cheaper than buying em online), whilst Skateline's is pretty evenly stocked with aggressive, recreational and hockey skates.
good luck dude.

Thank you all for the information. I was over at Cool Elements and Skateline last weekend. Couldnt firn the Roces Majestic 12 that i wanted. I used to skate with it during my time and i found on the internet that they are still around. I tried the Tarmac and the fatties, not so jalan and looks too bulky. Is the new style of aggressive skates all so bulky? Anyways, i will try to custom order my skates from aggressivemall. Does anyone have any idea how long it takes for the skates to come in and has anyone here ordered a custom pair from them? Please advice. Would like to meet up with you guys when i get them and then maybe you guys can help me out on getting my shit together again.
Cheers
Brewst!

Valo...hmmmm, i think they have it in CE. Will go again this evening to have a look at it. Is thaty the only place where aggressive skates are available? shaitz man...there used to be one in Damansara Utama, near the secondary school, ran by this guy called Ah Biau. He used to order skates for me from the states. CE and Skateline dont have that kind of service though.
Hey, does anyone know if there are good aggressive skate shops in Singapore? will be going down next week!! if not then i will have to order from aggressivemall lor......

generally - skates are a little bulkier than they were back then. however, as eric mentioned you can still find slimmer cut skates such as the Xsjado, Razors Cults, M12 UFS and Valos. all ar of course available online. but here's a quick guide on where to get what skates. *Xsjado - Cool Element (the cheapest around, trust me - no one else sells xsjados for rm1000), Go Sports skateshop in Singapore (+65 6475922) *Valos - Go Sports, only limited models available *Razors - Cool Element and Go Sports *K2 - Skateline Taman Tun *Roces M12 UFS - Spitfire at Peninsula Plaza, Singapore (near the City Hall MRT station) hope that helps. ahhaha - yea - John Biau as i called him. ho ho - Atomic Garage - - - back when skating was really really fun. i sometimes still drive by the shop - its now turned into a laundrette, but on the glass doors, you can still see Kryptonic/Senate stickers.... *sigh* shops here dont do orders because...well - honestly. whats the point when you can do get em online yourself. as for online shops - you might also want to check out www.inlinewarehouse.com and www.skatepile.com

yea - but the problem is gettin the UFS kit, buying it online would probably cost you half of a pair of a new pair of new m12s. sides...if you m12 is from the mid 90s... the plastic would probably be all warped by now. liners would also be very cardboard like also theres that leceh thing of ripping off the old rivets. hehehe - but it'd be nice to see that though. kinda like what this guy did - www.rollernews.com/remember-the-roces-impala-62-skates_2173.htmland matt: hehehe - well - not saying that 26 is old. i darent say that - cus Harris is mid-30s and skates more than me! all i mean is that - nowadays, you pretty much know that you can't rollerblade everyday. too tiring and not that much time any more.
