I don't know what's happening to me.. is it me or it's just sumthin else?
i've been skating as usual lately.. go down to kuching just for the sake of skating.. leaving all my homeworks and priority behind and knowing that my dad will kill me if he only knew about it.. always the giving the same reason to get out of the house..
Arriving at the skatepark.. i do what i wanted to do. But it seems that everyone is ignoring me and the skating session getting bored to me..It's not that I want to get some attention from them. Maybe they never liked the present of a girl skating with them..maybe...i can see it from the looks of their faces. I feel as small as an ant.
how am i going to keep on going if all of this guy keeps on doin this..some of them are nice to me especially my sifu but majority seems to ignored me..
here am i, ALONE...

hey Marina,
sometimes, it's not that people want to ignore you. i knew a girl skater which also had a problem like this. as skaters, there is no gender barrier on who is smaller. it's about who had more fun skating. i know it's hard and unsupportive.
sometimes getting priorities right is the right thing to do.for instance, i will be leaving the country for 5 months. And i've decided to leave my skate behind. it's not that i'm leaving skating. i'm just taking a clean-up break from it. and when you come back, you find yourself stronger, cleaner and away from all that style influence.
i'm not going to write you a long passage but as a word of strength:
remember the joy of your 1st grind..... RELIVE that!!!!!

i actually had an earlier draft giving my two cents - but hell it just boils down to - its not worth gettin messed up over.
just shrug it off and carry on.
"whenever i feel blue, i just breathe again"
lame, contrived, yadda yadda, but true.

Skating is fun.... in fact, i think skating is the best thing ever happen in my life...the skating sesssion, people that i meet.... But when it comes to the boring part and frustrating moment, i felt i should slow down and take some of those spare time by doing something that doesn't have anything with skating...it's tuff though, even when i'm are in a middle of some works suddenly the excitement of skating sparks in my mind..it so painful to resist..it's felt like missing someone special...

ah yes - know exactly what u mean.
for bout 2 years while i was away - i didnt get to skate as much as i'd like. and even when i did it was usually alone at the skatepark. so yes - i know what u mean by "wanting to skate so bad"....especially after watching a good skate video.
but relax....hehehe i find that a good way to release tension if u really can't skate is to play either "Aggressive Inline" on the PS2 or whatever else skateboarding game. NERD.
bout the skating friends thing. heck all my good friends are skaters....so much so that i've more or less lost touch with my non skating friends.
anyways...take care

i dont think its that hard to built. we got enough manpower and experience to put somthign together. the biggest problem has always been location. theres always nowhere safe to put it.
is your backyard big enough to fit somthing say....
5M x 10M (rough estimate- could b smaller)

well, i'll go n measure if can fit the things in my backyard..if i can't too bad for now.. but when i am back...its gonna be heavy construction.. just wondering how much does it cost to run a skate park.... if the cost is reasonable i dont mind having one..

this is such a gay thread. i mean 'life'? c'mon, some people just need to skate some stunts and shut up.

Life?
maybe thats the reason why i chose skating and still skating.
without obstacles, skating wont be fun, u will not progress...ledges, walls, trees, rails, stairs, ramps....anything and everything will be the obstacles for skating....thats what made skating fun
same goes with life, being alone is not a bad thing, having problems in life is not a bad thing either....i realised from skating that every problem will have a gift in it....face ur fear, find the gift and u will progress in skating and in life
