Recently keats asked me which pro inspired and influenced me the most...during that time i was abit blank so i gave him some old skool skater's name, and he gave me that funny faces hahahah....
Different ppl get inspiration from pro in different ways, be it skating or life...as for me, they inspired me more on my skating rather than life.
well, after recalling all my memories back in my ol skool days and days during kj skating...heres a few of them
Arlo for his bad boy skating image, Ryan Jacklone for his spinning style, Dave kollash for his grind - thats when i started skating street and learn soul and 360
and now its Morales for his style, Chris Farmer for his spinning, cess and fastslides. by watching them on videos, made me wanna skate everyday

hehe...embarassing yes..but hey - - 17 at that time man.
he did heel rolls, cess slides negatives and other wierd shit before they were cool. and if u were lucky enough to see him in kl during the first rush x doing his roof gap to the street course banks - u know hes more than just mushroom skating.

as it just so happens - i managed to locate a pic of that gap. and some other pics from when he came down with azikiwee for the rush X  he just "decided" to climb up that building and jump off it - we were lucky enough to spot him and take this shot   doin em before they were cool  royale  erik and yeng - yeah - its his hero too  Erik Burke |

hey ayam - u sure are in an askin question mood today....
nick riggle came up with the term mushroom skating. its skating beyond grinds airs and flips... its expanding to shuffles, cess slides, toe/heel rolls, taps, fast plants, threading the needles, illusions and tons of things that have yet to be "invented"
basically - skating using your noodle.
best examples are Dustin Latimer, Erik Burke, Nick Riggle, Erick Garcia, micah yeager, clark kirkman.

mushroom skating is when your skates smell like mould cause you got mushrooms growing in them. its also a sign that your old and you have stinky feet. only remedy for this is to skate harder and go real newschool. oldschool causes this dreaded mushroom disease. good luck in trying to avoid it. ;D

by the way skating using noodles is just as bad. this is caused be excessive skate video watching until your eyesight is so badly damaged that instead of picking up your skates you pick up a pair of maggi cup noodles. to remedy this , do the unthinkabLE!!! DO NOT STORE YOUR NOODLES AND SKATES IN THE SAME PLACE! real idols? the ones that you watch. the ones in real life. they have more of an effect on us than anyone you will see on videos or in magazines. Yura, Put, SAdiz, Ezra. thats where the real inspiration stemmed for me. crazy ass bitches.... i still remember bobs truespin topside pornstar.... on blue oxygens. haha.  stylez! |
