the side of the tables r just examples laa dong
we skate on ledges about 2.5 feet high tats all
for your info beginners should start somewhere lower that the kj ledges quite TINGGI for beginners

KJ is fine for anyone including beginer...
i brought Hooi to KJ and he started from there, now his like better than me

when i first started skating i hated kj, and now i just dont like it much. it grows on you a little. but you dont have to start off on ledges. i started on little 3 stair gaps, to build up my control. theres no point in grinding if you cant skate.

good point.
me and yeng started off with rollersoccer (dont ask), and tons of road skating - for bout 1 1/2 years bfr we even attempted a powerslide. ... but that was bcs we didnt knwo better.
but still its good to learn to control your skates bfr doing grinds...
