[glow=red,2,300] KBS National Circuit Tour at Putrajaya 20-22 June 2003[/glow] The first stop for the KBS tour this year was a Putrajaya, boring central of Malaysia. I mean god damn…there isnt even a 7-11 in the whole damn place – and that’s including Cyberjaya. We even had to buy cans of beer “under the table”, which were warm to make things worse. The RampsIf they are doin it like last year, these are probably the ramps that will b used in every stop, so get used to them. Its allright I guess, isnt quite as elaborate as last year’s, but …well. All that can b said is… ok la.

The Eventnothing exciting – heck – it started at 10am..that would explain the low turnout – only 16 turned up to compete. the crowd Annuar – backside across the gator pit Bala – not quite making it across the pit Ayai – bs royale bala – soul on the weird ass ball nuttin, armpit rippin rail. bala – topsoul on the box jeet on the ramp, looks like he really got shat on by a bird with a real bad case of the ciritssome kid from kajang (sorry dude – don’t really know your name…) - top side acid again…some kid – doin some air…. The judges looking super serious about the task at hand. what they look like normally the biggest upset was the damn music man….they ask for CDs to play from us…but end up puttin on malay rock kapak emo shit during the runs. Next stop = don’t let that guy in white handle the music – if u see him near it, smack his nuts. Bala and Crystal. “make up your own caption competition”. Post a good caption for this pic…. Man…its just askin for it. Anyway, fariq got first, no surprise there, but must b added, his runs was one of the cleanest ever, solid and technical grinds, good tranny transfers, consistent airs. Tell u what next comp – lets not waste time – just give him first place and lets just have a jam session. Also it was cool to see the kids whoopin the veterans. Honestly, kids who were in still in the juniors category have showed the big guys whats up and took up most of the top 10 spots. Man…. Watch out for hafizi, the bangsar kids, the twins and fariq’s anak buahs… heck pretty darn soon – I gotta start memorizing their names too.

Star Cess Slide BlocksSurrounding the skate ramps were these awesome marble blocks in the shape of stars that were perfect for cess slides. sukeats – royale cess bala – royale cess bala – fishy cess merv – unity cess unfortunately it didn’t take long for the guards to get nosey… this guy was gonna compound us, no “sorry cik, we blah sekarang” nonsense, he wanted us to pay for the damage (which - us just cessliding – was just bits of wax on the block). But with a bit of quick thinking –we offered to clean up the block, with a KBS t shirt no less. so then we explained that it is them that they owe US money – for polishin the blocks. Ah….. a little bit of kerekness and humour always helps ease things a bit. lessson learnt – no point fighting with guards – which in putrajaya, where there are more guards than anywhere in KL…. Trust me – street skating there is a guaranteed bust. Sad though - cus we found the perfect skate spot on taman perdana putra – where shangrila is. Marble ledges, king ledges, 40feet long curved ledges, long ass wooden rails, cess slideable floors… the list goes on. (sorry no pics – were to awestruck to take out the camera).
