this is entirely my view and should be viewed with discretion. yes i will gain haters by saying the followings but I'd rather say it than let others know where they stand. there is no favourtism involved as they are from what I see.
the future rollerbladers in malaysia will depend alot on what you do today and if you will still stick in roling for years to come. I wouldnt consider myself a senior citizen of rollerblading in Malaysia as I started long after it was introduced in Malaysia. But I had the pleassure to witness when it was blooming like mushrooms after the rain. Here I am today nearly 9 years after when I first put on my first pair of skates; still rolling. And why you ask. Because I love it.
When you are 23 years old, your school classmate from donkey years will be asking what you are doing these days and I still tell them that I skate. And they will give you that filthy look telling you to grow up throught their eyes. Interest shift for many people. License comes cars. 18 comes legally smoking and drinking. Girls. Clubbing. Well most of us had our fair share. Yes I drive but am not rich to buy myself a car. No I do not smoke but spiritology is an indulgence. High times of clubbings are over. It's all about chillouts.
So when these guys look at you when you are past 21, make sure you tell them that you finished you education to the highest point you can (keeping in mind monetory limitations) / working. And on top of it still skating.
In all those names listed above, I'm happy to still see them skating everyday in for the love. Yes I might see you in the competition but is that only when you will skate? For the fame?
As for me, I will still be involved in this. When you see me, yes I may suck when I roll. But do not underestimate my determination to hit a trick so that I can walk away with my nose in the sky ; all satisfied with myself and to those who has influenced and being there together this whole 9 years. you know who you are.

yea - you'll be surprised how hard it is to continue skating - what with school, girlfriends, jobs and other friends who just dont seem to understand skating.
but yea - - the future are those that stick around. because lots of good skaters have quit over the years.

1st of all i would like to say we are in malaysia... im glad to be malaysian... bcoz theres no such war or riot thingy goin on here... but i hate most malaysian the way they think.... they think that skate is for kids and most of the skater from the past they think that thier time to skate is end bcoz is old for them to still skate.... so what the fuck man? is this what we call the love of skating? its depend on you.... and fuck with them that underestimate the power of rollerblading... this is not a sport... this is lifestyle.... yes most malaysian is very culturical...(what ever the word is).. they think that this is west sports and mama and papa wont let them waste thier money on a pair of rollerblade.. thats y even if they like it but yet still cant coz of parents.. or rather i say, enviroment. hell with that... i see the future is very slow for rollerblading... but you yourself have to keep rolling to make the future better.... peace.
