we are lack of apprentice.majority of rollers are in their 20s.we need more young blood.just like at the skateboarders.they have young kids that really can shred shah alam skatepark.
very true bro....
i really glad somebody brought up this matter.
in some sense, sometimes its just boring to see the people rolling are all the same faces at most of the major comps...
well...not to say comps...how often we see new kids started rolling?
not to say aggressive inline...its not even recros....
and the winners of minor or major comps are all the same people...
so i guess its time to think it over...
how come skateboarding is so much more harder to learn yet so many kids are going there?
is it cos sk8bots looks cooller? cooller than coollen?
haha sorry coollen...thats just a phrase...
totally no means to use your name for bad intentions....
is it cos the price of blades are way too expensive?
sk8bots...a well built piece of board costing almost the same price as a blades...AND...that does not include a good quality skate shoe...nike sb costing rm300+++ (original not ciplak ones)....
so, a total sum of shoes and complete boards can easily go up to RM1K and maybe more...
though they dont buy it at one shot unlike rollerblades....
but the question is...
a blade will not destroy no matter how hard you hit it or fall....
well...my G5 survived a real hard fall which occured 2years back...
a hard one from a mute grab over 15 stairs... my skates hit real hard on the floor sending people of nearby 2 story flats coming out to see...first and last time i try gap down something more than 5 o 6 stairs cos i don have helmets...
a deck can be broken into pieces when you land hard on the wrong spot of the deck....
of cos no needs to mention bout the wheels and bearings....
all things will wear and tear...
no matter how good the company claims their products are still eventually it will spoil...just the duration is different...
so whats that makes the sport we all love more like a minority in the exteme sports scene in our beloved homeland rather than sharing the same quantity of players/fame/etc as of skateboarding has managed to get itself into?
let start thinking...and of cos actions speaks louder than words....
i guess the scene KL and penang is still ok....
KJROLLERS did keep the scene alive throughout years with evenets and etc...
other places especially in kuching...other places i m not sure....
there is not even a roller is younger than 20 yrs old...
and....people hardly even know there is a thing called rollerblade existed on this piece of land....
whenever i skated in my uni (cos not really having spots to skate so i just roll in my uni),
sure some dudes or chicks come up and ask me whats that shoe you wearing ah?
HUH, cost you rm600++++ AH?
Y SO EXPENSIVE AH?
Oooooo....its nice ho...got tyres one hoh...can use to go to class hoh.... etc.... then i just
haha...its just weird....
;D
ok...thats it...my opinion only....well i guess i get bombs real soon...hahah...welcome welcome....
