the Americans way of pricing strategy is they will calculate the total cost per unit then look on what profit they wish to gain within the market rate for that good.

first and foremost, isnt this kind of debate alot better than : "i think i'm cooler than your mom and i think my skates look alot hotter than your chick and I'm so rad i hate you debate."
it's like the current music CD price debate on why RIM does not want to reduce the price cause they got too much ego and status to take care of. why should i pay 50 bucks for a CD when i can get them for 5 illegally and still get away with the authorities. hence in our situation, obviously the price has to accomdate to all and that is why this survey is being carried out. to know the buying power. but there will be kids out there that will bootleg the video.... so what we need in a way do is reduce the price to a point where it is not worth bootlegging cause it will take more of their time and effort to bootleg. (industrial designer Allesi did exactly that to combat the bootleggin of their product in thailand by introducing really cheap lines to attract lower income buyers to buy the ori)
anyways guys thanks for the insight. whatever it is, it will be hard. i'm prepared for the worse. all for the love.... sigh....

it all still boils down to my calculation of cost vs. profit (if ther eis any)....... and i have not done that calculation as yet..... so dont preassume that it will be 14 / 19 / whatever that has been said here.
