My sources;) tell me of a govt run free open skatepark in the Bukit Bintang / Jalan Imbi area, could this be the fabled Berjaya Times Square park we keep hearing bout?
Mayb it is. but this one is open air... and isnt in Times Square - its near the Pasar Rakyat and furniture mall....or so i was told.
will check it out tomorrow.
Sorry - i can't give you guys directions yet - bcs - heck - i dont know where it is yet.

yeah my sources tell me its a two bit piece of shit park thats the same size as the NXC circuit.

i just got back from the 'park' and well....its just another plain well-intentioned badly designed park - - so bad that im not even sure if skateboarders can make any use of it.
i have pics - which ill put on tonight.

not to worry tammy. there are like a number of skateparks around town. the most famous and largest being in Kg. Batu called Taman Metropolitan Kg. Batu or like how we like to call it Stoned Village. then there is the Kajang skatepark, Taman Paramount, the one in Sunway called Extreme Park. the built of Pasar Rakyat is wrong because the transitions (even judging from pic) are too steep. Paramount has that same problem too. the only one i can call coorect is Stone Village. check out www.kjrollers.com for a listing of places to skate. or just get in touch with anyone of us. |
