I'm just waiting for soemone to set up a proper asian skating clothing company, like for asian rollers by asian rollers. That would be so hot. And it would sell really well. Kind of like a ucon for the east. Sukeats?

no point making a clothing only brand.. theres already devilistic and 065 clothing. i rep their clothes.
but yea - i agree with george - we should do proper clothing brands such as Ucon and Artysm - which go beyond simple silkscreen designs and tshirts. but sadly - i aint got the flair for fashion designing.
i'll stick to what im good at.
also - eric has a good plan. and we're sorta working on it - gettin contacts within the region and making friends.

they should make a cheap kinda skates for beginners.most people i ask y they didnt want to blade is coz its way more expensives.
keats idea of the blank skates wit marker is actually kinda cool.
besides,in skateboarding they dont have that much of variaties of setups.
kids in sabah are more to hard core ride or die style.(mati pun matilah!!)
and thats why people in sabah are more keen too bmx and skateboarding.
not mush that i can do.need ur guys punya support.
iam goin to n.zealnd next year and heck i dunno wats goin to happen to inline scene k.kinabalu.

I think its not just the skates
Rollerblading don't seems to get that much respect as skateboarding and bmx because there is too many loose terms associated with it like adventures, artistic, fitness, hockey, speed, recreational, roller derby and even roller dance.
Then aggressive skates don't really have that much of set-ups either.
Don't worry when you are in NZ continue to log-in and all should be well beside we still have Flanegan?

yup - - - you guys are doing a good job with b3sessions. ... just keep it up.
its always going to be hard gettin people to start skating... or continue skating for that matter. you cant do anything bout the price of skates - so long as US1=RM3.8.
but the good news is.. thanks to shops like Rupert Rage and Cool Element you can get a decent pair of aggressive skates for RM500.
FYI - i bought my first pair of aggressive skates the K2 Fatty in 1996 for RM300+ (and that was back when RM1=US2.5). so rm500 is pretty damn good !!!
best way to get people to skate. be friendly to newbies and also lend your skates to those without skates, to let them get the taste of it. annoying yes... but it gets the ball rolling.

How come we never get in contact with skaters from thailand? Keats had a link to the Thai website recently and Thai skaters are good just that they wouldn't invited to any Malaysian event before. Keats more links perhaps to quast the thirst??

Ah...Apichat the rollerblading pioneer in Thailand and distributor for ROCES rollerblade for Thailand
I can't think of any better person you can hook up with regarding the Thai blade scene
A kind and helpful person and is involved extensively in the the promotions of extreme activities in Thailand
