i was incredibly dissapointed to discover that my image was used in the promotion of the x-games. infact the footage used was a bias representation of what happened and ESPN had no right in displaying me supporting them in any way shape or form. the following is my battle to gain back my dignity.

Subject: My image in the X-games advert
Dear Mr.. Holland,
My name is George Amos and i recently attended the x-games here in Kuala Lumpur. I was acting as team manager for Harry Amos who competed in the Junior event. I have been a staunch advocate of everything that the X-Games stands for, for a very long time, and only attended because my brother needed a chaperone for the weekend. I'm sure you can imagine my shock when i heard from friends and relatives that an image of myself displaying a hand signal commonly known as 'the horns' as well as emitting some kind of noise, was used in your television advert for the games! This extract when taken out of context shows me showing enthusiasm and endorsing the games, which could not be further from the truth. I'm disgusted with ESPN's handling of rollerblading. Its recent cut of street skating from the summer games shows how little ESPN cares for the games, and instead reveals it to be a sponsorship hungry corporation. I signed no agreement, document or release of any kind allowing ESPN to show me or my image on television, and was never told at any point that by attending the x-games i might at some point be subjected to such exposure. I would like to know what you intend to do in order to rectify this situation.
Yours, George Amos
