"KUALA LUMPUR, June 3 (Bernama) -- Malaysians will have the rare opportunity to witness the Transit of Venus -- a passage of the Venus moving across the face of the Sun, on Tuesday, according to the National Space Agency (Angkasa).
The agency said since the creation of the telescope, this phenomenon only occurred six times -- in 1631, 1639, 1761, 1769, 1874 and the last in 1882.
Angkasa described the phenomenon as an event that should not be missed as no living person had seen a transit of Venus as the most recent one occurred in 1882.
The transit of Venus would be visible nationwide from 1.13pm. It would reach its maximum phase at 4.19pm and will end at 7:25pm, Angkasa said in a statement, Thursday."
Not exactly hyping it up. This is probably the biggest astromnomical event to happen in our life time.
