the thing about underground hip hop is, that by the time you've heard about it in malaysia, it isnt underground; its international.

yes i personally did heiroglyphics and anticon. sage francis is pretty swell too.
on the editing point of view it can get quite difficult to edit to them but hey that is the challenge.
yeah we did talk to some people for our first video: THIS VIDEO IS____. and yes we even did talk to DJ Fuz but he was too busy for us in which we understand cause TTC was in the explosion mode that time.

mansor : thank your for your support . and keep skating man , you sure got mad skills . one day kuching will be up there somewhere , for producing ill and technical rollers . we sure got respect for you cats . GEORGESC : you`re right i guess .literally , thats absolutely right . but underground is underground , be it the states , uk , japan whatsoever . im saying , its underground hip hop , its another music . its like pop music in states , its pop in malaysia too . highroller : yeah hiero is maaad . sage francis is one of my fav . his materials always featured in skate videos anyway . plus , he`s just abstract like that . yeah , ttc is really really busy . their new album launch party is on this weekend . its at hard rock cafe . if ur coming , we might meet up or something . banileo jb (sorry if its wrongly spelt) : regarding jbc , a friend of mine ash g represents jbc . that kid is brilliant . asziatic invaderz . ive heard of soutsidaz , and we actually hang out together during a gig 2 years back in KL , nice fellas . anyway , thanks for the respond . anyone else diggin ug hiphop ? drop your thoughts . laters ! www.therebelscum.com

louie, no offence, if you like hip hop thats cool. but what do malaysian underground hip hop dudes rap about? theres not too many drive byes, 40 sippin, ghetto hustling, big pimpin or n*gga stabbin done in KL.
what lyrics do they chat?

no worries George , i am definitely not offended .
well , let me explain , the different between mainstream hip hop and underground hip hop if you dont notice . like ive said earlier in my earlier post , mainstream hip hop is what youve seen on tv . and underground hip hop is not .
all the drive bys , the gun slanging , the "i-fuck-your-wife" attitude is not the main features of underground hip hop . you do see a few underground acts , such as jedi mind tricks , necro , canibus , talking bout drive bys and all that , but its understandable as they do live in "ghettos" or projects . but that is not what they are promoting . like ive said , underground hip hop is more articulate . they play with words . like rollers play with curbs . mainstream hip hop in the other hand , is about all those . about being gangstas and "real" nig*s.
i suggest you check out a few songs , even though ur not a fan of hip hop . try this songs : Binary Star "Honest Expression" and "Reality Check" . Then you`ll know what underground acts thinks of the mainstream hip hop artistes .
i dont blame you . im not a fan of 50cent , Ja Rule , or P.Diddy . for me whatever they have to say on tracks are pure bullocks . i meant , who gives a f*ck if they get shot 9 times and so on . at the end of the day , its all propagandas , they`re just trying to get their records out .
just maybe , highroller might be able to explain to you whats undergroup hip hop is all about , since he digs hieroglyphics , anticon and sage francis .
or mebbe bent lee , would do the honour .
thank you for your thoughts george .
and as most hiphop acts would put it , be it underground or mainstream ........
peace out .

firstly, i would like to thank wei yeng for the email .
secondly, Louie Logik (Louis Logic is ill!) for supporting The Rebel Scum`s music movement. Plus, mansor ( i know you i know you ) for the same reason .
nice thread going. now that Louie seems to have answered all the questions, he left me with nothing to do.
im a big fan of extreme games, especially in line skating (jon julio is my fav) . and being somewhere so far from malaysia, im seriously over the moon knowing that the in line scene back at home is doing pretty well.
so do stay up kj rollers .
