I guess I have to put your paranoia and suspiscion down to your teenage angst (or maybe your nappy riding up too much when you "Blade"), but Calvin Long's skatepark is a non-profit charity organisation where everybody is welcome from youngsters to pensioners. If you think RM50 for two hours each week for five weeks is extortionate for learning basics from a pro-skateboarder then I think you have a twisted view of the value of money.
Also, if you think that I am Calvin Long you are mistaken. He is Chinese and I'm not. I can tell that you aren't Malaysian. I think maybe you're Australian and you're dad works out here. Please get your facts straight. Maybe mine are wrong that's why I said "maybe".
No one is whining about anything, I just think misplaced negative views are something we don't need especially in a place like Malaysia where there are no rules against skaters only pussy security guards who don't give much of a shit as it is. Just thank God this ain't Singapore! I respect what you bladers are doing but knocking a sk8park because the OWNER didn't allow you in when he wasn't there to supervise is just plain dumb. Calvin spends a shit load of time in the place and he has stuff he don't want nicked too.
Try and have some respect.

Well 'James Lucas', i can tell you im neither australian, nor does my dad work here. Not that it has anything to do with Calvin Longs pitiful skatepark.
If you must know, Im half scottish half english, but of british nationality, I've been living in Malaysia for 7 years, my mum lectures at the Islamic University, and i am currently wearing looney toons boxer shorts.
My negative views are deffinately not misplaced.
About the whole skatepark affair:
I dont have a problem with Calvin being angry at me for going into his skatepark at the unreasonable time of 5pm on a weekend, the problem was the way in which he handled the matter. He came over screaming "get the fuck out of my park you little fuckers!!" and then spent the next 20 mins screaming foul language at me and my younger brother whilst we climbed out of his skatepark. We offered to pay and continue skating which he refused, and contrary to my normal reactions, i stayed totally calm and asked him to relax and give me time to get out of his park. It wasn't until i was standing next to him, on the other side of the fence, that he realised i was a good foot taller than him. At this point he calmed down a bit. I then told him exactly how i felt to his face. He said he'd call the police, i invited him to and told him no respectable rollerblader would ever go back to his park again.
I think i handled the situation well, but he did not. He disrespected me right up until the point i was standing next to him, because he thought i was just another rollerblading faggot. Calvin is an over-dressed avril lavigne loving skateboard poser. We all know the stereotype and he's it. Not only is he laughed at by 'nappy-wearing' rollerbladers but also by most of the hardcore skateboard community. Whos the faggot now?
Respect is never deserved, it can only be earned.

3pm? Maybe because the man has a life? Maybe it's his skatepark? If you lose respect for someone for being tardy, you have very high standards. And you couldn't amuse yourself in some other way at Sunway Extreme park?
I guess you go to Sunway college. In the grown up world you don't get free periods. So if you expect the man to sit on his arse all day and everyday like some mong in 7/11 you will be dissapointed.

Wrong again James. I went there on the weekend because that is when i skate. I went in the middle of the day because thats when all skateparks are open, but dont worry, i wont make the same mistake again.
And call me old fashioned but i do expect an employee to sit at a skatepark and entertain their patrons. How does he expect to do any charity work when hes not there to take money?
I didnt lose respect for his lateness, i lost respect for him because of his bad attitude, vile vehaviour and lack of respect for me.

I was there at the skatepark at the time you and your little bro visited... It was a Sunday and Calvin and I were eating at the cafe round the corner. I had chicken sandwiches and was wearing an off-grey pair of y-fronts. You broke in to his skate park. What more do I have to say? He did call the police. He was pissed off with people breaking into his skatepark. I saw u and your little bro walking off with your tails between your legs. Taking the piss out of security guards is one thing. Dis-respecting a mans privacy while he's eating dinner is another.
I actualy think you're a pretty cool bloke but being angry with someone because of what you did wrong? That shit ain't right. And it turns out that you have labelled him a blading hater because you trespassed.
You need to rethink you're attitude.
I also never claimed bladers wore nappies. Yet again you have mis-quoted.

I remember so clearly how he was screaming and calling us "fucking retards" and "bastards", "fucking rollerbladers" as we were trying to climb out of his park. Then the funniest look on his face when i went right up to that annoying little shit, looked down, stared him right in the eyes and told him to "shut the fuck up." He was so afraid, me and my brother were creasing all the way up the hill, cracking jokes about how white he went. I went straight to another session told everyone how mad he made me, then forgot about him quick as you like. It disturbs me that you knew the colour of his y-fronts. Was this a date you two were on? Anyway, ive had enough of you homo's. If you have anything futher to say to me, we can meet in real life! I'll be in BB plaza in 40 mins, and in voyeur in bangsar tomoro nite, so you can call all your buddies and meet me at either of those to places. -or- Shut the fuck up because no one likes your butt-buddies skatepark. - i really didnt want to go all furiousgeorge, but i do love to. |
