kawan2... aku merasakan peningkatan scene kita agak kurang memuaskan... aku Xberniat ape2 yang Xbaik sewaktu becakap dalam hal ini... ape yg aku maksudkan ialah level of skating kite semua... tapi yg baiknye kebelakangan ni industri rollerblading di sini semakin membesar!!! cume ape yang aku sangsi... brape jauh kite ketinggalan berbanding negara2 lain dari segi level of skating...you guys can surf internet.. eg rollernews... in certain country they all buat competition stret/park with damn huge tricks... sedangkan sebelum ni kite Xpenah dengar pun any pro skater datang dari sane!!! ok... if possible U guys bagi la ape2 cadangan yg baik agar dapat mengatasi masalah diatas... dan kalau boleh... jangan utarakan masalah yg akan dihadapi untuk menyelesaikan masalah yg sedia ade diatas... selain dari menggunakan wang... mungkin ade cara lain yang kita semua mampu usahakan bersama sama utk kebaikan industri ini... at least kite menyumbangkan sesuatu utk malaysian rollorbladers di masa akan datang... sememangnye...sama ada evolusi mahupun revolsi, keduaduanye memakan masa!!!

I support his views..and a lot of hard work to put in to hold up an event or comp..and the most important is SKATERS !!

last i checked - skating wasnt about "level of skating" or how much better you are than the other guy.
of course - syam's point is that it'd be nice if we had skaters that could kick international ass. one thing you could do is train your arse off everyday, like the China skaters do. skate to win, constantly learning new tricks not because you like it, but because you MUST win. not saying thats a bad way to go - but i personally feel that betrays the core of rolling.
i know we as a "Scene" isnt doing as much as we should. the s4s is only once a year, and its been a while since we did a video edit. but at least we're giving it a shot and keeping things sort of going. we've got more plans in the pipelines, but we need more support to get things going (the last s4s only had 15 competitors... a very very disappointing number, but we'll keep chugging and put out comps so long as can get 2 people to battle it out).
personally - what i'd like to see is new kids coming into the sport. yes, they are generally annoying grommets with tons of redundant questions, are more concerned about buying the latest pair of aragons rather than learning to learn a soul and less than half make it beyond 6 months. but id be really nice to see skaters (or any age) starting - and keeping at it and taking over from the older guys. it is happening...but not as well as i'd like.
"Rollerblading needs 2 kinds of people. skaters who can skate well and people who can get shit done."[/b]
right now...we have quite a lot of skaters who fall into the first category, and best of all, they're getting better day after day. What we're not seeing is people making rollerblading a bigger part of their lives, making something of it and contributing back to the local scene.
fariq is probably the best example of someone who falls into BOTH categories - still one of the best rollers we've ever had, and working hard (doing demos, putting together events, bringing in products, conducting clinics etc). so if you want someone to emulate - its that guy. ___________
right....so that was quite a bit of rambling there...and if i had to sum it up into 3 sentences id say
1 - skate more (age/job/girlfriend/boyfriend is not an excuse)
2 - encourage more people to skate (be as friendly as you can be to newbies, hard i know, but do try)
3 - do something with rollerblading (think you can make better videos? got t shirt designs that you think are better than UCON? like taking skate photos? GO OUT THERE AND DO IT!)
thats my 2 cents, hope to see you guys skating, i know i will for a long long long time

me myself have not been skating or been involved in the scene as long as sukeat to give a strong reccomendation, like keats did....
i gotta agree with both opinion though:
keats- all that u said is true.seriously true. we actually need to have ppl like keats and ed to build up the scene.theres no use having aragon if theres no one to promote what he's doing.then, he wudnt be anyone's idol. so rollers, instead of just rolling for fun, not that anything is wrong with that, lets step it up a notch abit. what u can do works like a chain reaction which will turn to a cycle until it is stopped somewhere.
u bring in new ppl to AIL=the scene grow bigger=more ppl to bring new ppl to AIL and so on...
Syam-u are rite too. myself, iam down rite pissed off with malaysian quality of skating. but what pisses me off more is that, me myself cant devote to making myself better.i still cant get thru that barrier to do tricks yg gila2 to inspire others.bcos i know, if i can be a 'challenge' or 'threat' to other rollers, it will positively improve the scene's quality......
so basically lets all do the best we can to do out part to make this scene bigger.....

Its good to go bigger but I think as time pass by the skaters grew up to enter the working community..and other responsibilities etc and big tricks = huge commitment = greater risks = might effect the working performance if encounter with big injury issues..
The thing is just make time to skate more and progress becuz if u wait for available time..u'll never get the chance to skate..Lets Roll!!

sngt banyak idea yg diberikan... N sure we can do something with this!!! aku bukan la maksudkan kite semua perlu tanamkan sikap sk8 utk menang... tapi saling mencabar antara satu sama lain... bcoz i believe setiap dari kita ade tricks yg terpendam/disimpan... N when someone bukak tricks... then yg laen sure will follow!!! i didnt mean ade sebarang perpecahan... tapi gabungan beberape orang yg berpengaruh(keats,ed,edosh) mungkin dapat kumpulkan lebih ramai orang utk roll bersama!!! which is totally like U all said its more fun!!! ;D ;D ;D to encourage people joining AIL... it wouldnt happen if we guys just skate at same place every week ...(me too)I was thinking if we can skate street where people outside can see us... I agree with U keats... number of contestant for s4s agak mengecewakan!!! N wut to do kite mmg xdpt nk buangkan sikap malu org lain... ape yang aku mention di atas... semuanya adalah sekadar Idea!!! aku bukan mengarahkan apa apa... atau cuba menjadi bos... kepada semua orang... teruskan polish tricks anda!!!
