ROLLING RELIEF
As the death toll in South Asia pushes past 150,000, we find ourselves in the midst of the largest natural human disaster of our generation. Some expect the tsunami that struck the coast and bowled over the small islands of South Asia to take over 500,000 lives by the time the total direct damaged is assessed. The potential spread of diseases like Malaria and infections from contaminated drinking water (water exposed to rotting corpses) could claim even more lives, or worse, spur a health epidemic. If you don't already know this, now you know.
After many generous donations worldwide, the dead are now being bulldozed into mass graves, while debris is being cleared from roadways to allow the transport of food, medicine, and water filtration systems. But the job is bigger than originally estimated, and now that the holidays are over, peoples checkbooks have retreated back to their dimly lit pocketbooks and desk drawers. In spite of this, the suffering continues. In spite of this, there is more that needs to be done. Much more.
With our 9/11 "Before You" t-shirt we were able to donate over $5,000.00 (USD) to the Children's Aid Society in New York to help with their efforts in supporting the children who's parents were killed at the World Trade Center, or who were otherwise affected by that tragedy. Now it is time to lend our help again. This time we aim to aid those overseas who are suffering unimaginable hardships on the chaotic landscape they used to call their home. We offer the Rolling Relief t-shirt:
The Rolling Relief t-shirt has a screenprinted front with a wheel/globe logo. It is 100% cotton, and is available in black, charcoal, gray, and white. One-hundred percent of our profits from this shirt will be donated to Direct Relief International of Santa Barbara, CA, where the money will be turned into necessary medical resources for the people affected by this tragedy.
We ask that you please support this cause to aid our brothers and sisters in South Asia that are currently in need. And for those of you who are wondering why a rollerblading company is getting involved in a cause like this; it's because the people who are waiting in line to have their bandages redressed don't particularly care if you are wearing skates, sneakers, sandals, or football cleats when you send your compassion, just as long as you send it.
